Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Work with patients from infants to geriatrics (primarily adult RRT but will work with pediatric intubated patients)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, GA RRT License
• Trauma experience required; pulmonary function testing (Spirometry testing) preferred
• Work in a level 2 trauma center, interventional stroke certified facility with a level 3 NICU
• Manage non-invasive ventilation, conventional ventilation, aerosol therapy
• Perform bedside pulmonary function tests, arterial lines, oxygen management
• Conduct arterial blood gases, capillary blood gases, draw from lines
• Provide patient education and perform various respiratory care procedures
• Use Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, Viasys Vela, GE Carescape, Viaysis Avea systems
• Wear slate gray scrubs
• Float within facility and to sister campus (Piedmont Columbus Northside) as needed
• Work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• No call requirements
• Holiday coverage required based on assignment period
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• 48 hours orientation with modules completed during orientation
