Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Job in Saint Louis, MO

Saint Louis Children's Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for their NICU. You will work 3x12 night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week and earn $2,313.10 weekly. This is a 91-day assignment beginning June 29, 2026.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory support to neonatal and pediatric patients in a 400-bed facility with 320 daily census
• Manage mechanical ventilation, including weaning protocols and servo ventilators
• Administer aerosol therapy and manage BiPAP/CPAP setups
• Perform tracheostomy care and nitric oxide delivery
• Operate high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFO) equipment
• Document care in the EPIC charting system
• Cover every other weekend with no on-call or floating outside respiratory scope required

Requirements:

• Allied Health Professional credential (RRT)
• Minimum 2 years experience; first-timers accepted
• NICU and/or PICU experience (required)
• Current certifications: BCLS, RRT, NRP, PALS
• Missouri license required or compact license accepted
• Experience in ED, level 1 trauma, and pediatric critical care
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records

What to Expect:

• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Maximum 2 RTO (request time off) requests allowed, maximum 7 days each; no RTOs during first week
• Wear any scrub color or facility-provided T-shirts and jackets
