Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Registered Nurse - CVOR</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work three 12-hour shifts (3x12s) from 6:15 PM to 6:45 AM<br>• 2 years of experience required (will consider 1 year if from Level 1 trauma facility)<br>• Scrub experience for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures required<br>• Circulating experience required<br>• Must be able to scrub and circulate for cardiac and thoracic cases primarily<br>• Handle vascular procedures (open and endovascular), transplant cases (liver, kidney, pancreas), and Whipple procedures<br>• Heart and lung transplant experience needed for night shift<br>• On-call required: 3-4 weekday and 1-2 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule (as needed based on unit needs)<br>• Must respond within 40 minutes from call to clock-in for emergency cases<br>• Weekend coverage required per call policy<br>• Will float within service line as needed<br>• Rotating shift times as needed, Monday through Friday<br>• Holiday coverage as needed (discussed in advance)<br>• Work with 16 operating rooms treating adult patients<br>• BSN preferred<br>• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS<br>• Epic charting experience preferred<br>• Must enter missing instruments into CensiTrac system<br>• Dress code: Navy scrubs<br>• No more than 7 days RTO per 13-week contract</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This short-term acute care teaching hospital is a Level 1 trauma center with 1,266 staffed beds, providing the highest level of care in the region. The cardiovascular operating room department handles urgent and emergent cases in a fast-paced environment, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive specialty support.
