CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Nursing in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 26, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,690.24.

Schedule and Expectations

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 6:15 PM to 6:45 AM
• On-call required: 3–4 weekday and 1–2 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule based on unit needs
• Must respond within 40 minutes from call to clock-in for emergency cases
• Rotating shift times as needed, Monday through Friday
• Weekend coverage required per call policy
• Holiday coverage as needed (discussed in advance)
• No more than 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Will float within service line as needed

Clinical Requirements

• 2 years of nursing experience required (1 year acceptable if from Level 1 trauma facility)
• Scrub experience for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures required
• Circulating experience required
• Must scrub and circulate for cardiac and thoracic cases primarily
• Handle vascular procedures (open and endovascular), transplant cases (liver, kidney, pancreas), and Whipple procedures
• Heart and lung transplant experience needed for night shift

Credentials and Certifications

• BLS and ACLS required
• BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Details

• You will work with 16 operating rooms treating adult patients
• Must enter missing instruments into CensiTrac system
• Navy scrubs required
