PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 40 hours per week in a 13-week contract assignment
• Schedule consists of variable 4x10 shifts with start times of 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM
• Weekend rotation every 5th weekend for on-call duties
• Holiday rotation required
• On-call requirements: one night per week for 4 weeks out of 6-week schedule with 30-minute response time
• Call shifts start at 11:00 AM with 2-hour minimum callback
• Maintain 1:2 patient ratio in 14-bay PACU unit serving approximately 35 patients per day
• Provide post-recovery care for general, spine, neuro, GI, ENT, cardiac, PV, and orthopedic procedures
• Stabilize ICU patients before transferring to intensive care unit
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Must maintain Wisconsin RN license and certifications in AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2+ years PACU experience required with recent hospital experience
• Post cardiac and pediatric experience required
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred; previous electronic charting experience required if no Epic background
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Associate degree or certificate required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Subject to low census policies and mask requirements during flu season if unvaccinated
