Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will work as an RN on a 15-bed Med Surg unit at Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, MO. This is a 13-week travel assignment with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working 3 days per week. You will earn $1,971 weekly.

Your Role

You will provide inpatient Med Surg nursing care to patients recovering from trauma, surgical interventions, and those with medical comorbidities. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process. Patient ratios are typically 1:6-7 on nights. You may float to other units based on staffing needs.

Schedule and Requirements

• Night shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3x12 hours per week
• Every other weekend work required
• No call requirements
• 1 year of inpatient Med Surg experience required
• Current Missouri RN license or eligible for Missouri licensure
• BLS from AHA required; ACLS from AHA preferred
• Flu vaccination required November 1 through April 1

Facility Details

The unit uses EPIC for the EMR system. Equipment includes Nova Meters, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, and SCD machines. Night shift orientation is conducted on day shift. Dress code is black scrubs with no open-toed shoes.
