CVICU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

Banner Desert Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in Mesa, Arizona. You will provide direct nursing care to patients in the immediate post-operative phase following open-heart surgery and other cardiovascular procedures.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the CVICU with emphasis on open-heart recovery patients
• Monitor and manage patients on advanced cardiovascular support devices, including Impella and balloon pump systems
• Conduct thorough patient assessments addressing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Participate in patient and family education regarding recovery and self-care
• Delegate tasks appropriately and provide supervision to other healthcare team members
• Maintain clinical competencies specific to cardiovascular intensive care
• Work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
• Float to other areas per department guidelines as needed

Requirements

• Current valid RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred

Assignment Details

• Location: Banner Desert Medical Center, 1400 S Dobson Rd, Mesa, Arizona
• Shift: 3x12 nights per week
• Duration: 89 days
• Start Date: June 22, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $2,446.20
