PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• 13-week contract position working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts per month; night shift schedule includes Friday and Saturday
• No on-call requirements
• Work in a combined 19-bed unit with 10 PICU beds and 9 Pediatric beds
• Patient ratios: 1:2 PICU; 1:3 IMC (1:4 IMC with PCT); 1:5 Peds (1:6 Peds with PCT)
• Night shift staffing includes 1 Charge Nurse and 3-4 Nurses
• Perform and assist with procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, chest tube placements, and conscious sedation
• Care for patients ranging from standard pediatric diagnoses to critical cases requiring vaso-active drips and mechanical ventilation
• Utilize equipment including Hillrom Beds, GE monitors, ICU Medial Plum 360 pumps, and Med Fusion syringe pumps
• Document using Meditech EMR system
• Scrub color required: Galaxy blue
• Pediatric and Pediatric ICU experience required
• Required certifications: RN License, PALS, BLS
