<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Registered Nurse - PCU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work in Progressive Care Unit with 1:4 patient ratio (may flex to 1:6 on rare occasions)<br>• 2 years of nursing experience required with strong ventilator experience<br>• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)<br>• 12 hours of orientation provided<br>• 3 guaranteed shifts per 13-week contract<br>• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed<br>• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS<br>• Navy scrubs required<br>• Epic charting system<br>• Free parking provided<br>• Floating required between departments, units and facilities as needed<br>• Must hold both Kansas and Missouri nursing licenses or compact license<br>• Care for patients with pulmonary stepdown, intermediate care, ventilated trach patients, COPD, pulmonary patients<br>• Work with specialized equipment including endobronchial valves and ventilators<br>• Skills include cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, respiratory care, ventilator management, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and medication administration<br>• Handle high acuity respiratory patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow nasal cannula</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility is a 456-bed tertiary care hospital that has achieved 5-time Magnet recognition, demonstrating excellence in nursing care and patient outcomes.
