Opportunity:

RN - Acute Care

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts required
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week period
• Holidays worked based on unit coverage and integrated into permanent staff rotation
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Minimum 2 years of telemonitoring experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS
• BSN not required
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Must pass Day 1 SIMs Lab (pass/fail) including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes - maintaining sterile field is critical
• Unit: T8 - Trauma, Orthopedic, and Surgical unit with 30 beds
• Patient ratio: 1:4-5
• EMR system: Cerner
• Telemetry system: Phillips
• Vents: BiPAP and CPAP
• Common diagnoses and patient types include post-op day 1 transplants, Whipple procedures, spine, orthopedic joints, and trauma patients
• Scrub color: Navy
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test
• Must have own vehicle for travel between campuses
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 shifts
• First to float to MS/Tele, possibly Westgate or AZ General Laveen Campus
• IV SWAT RN available, RT available 24/7, and Pharmacy available 24/7
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
