RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• 8-hour day shifts plus on-call responsibilities
• Cardiologist hours Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with on-call coverage from 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM and weekends 7:30 AM to 7:30 AM
• Minimum 10 weeknight shifts required
• Minimum 2 weekends required (1 IR and 1 Cardiac)
• Holiday call requirements apply
• On-call response time of 30 minutes
• Floating requirements apply daily and on-call as needed
• Dress code: Surgical greens required
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 3 years of hospital-setting Cardiac Cath/IR experience required
• Charting system: EPIC/Apollo cardiac charting
• Perform intra-procedural circulating duties including supplies management, medication administration, and sedation
• Work in a versatile lab that primarily performs IR with Cardiac inpatient add-ons
• Prepared for STEMIs and treatment up to IABP to stabilize
• Lab operates 3 suites with an average of 4-5 cases per day
• Common diagnoses include compression fractures, venous access, hydronephrosis, chest pain, PHTN, shortness of breath, gastric ulcers, PE, and DVT
• Supervisor approves scheduling with on-call buddy call included in one-week orientation
• Pass/fail open book exam required during orientation with a minimum score of 90% required to pass
• Radiation badges will be provided by the facility
