About this role
You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at CHI Health Immanuel in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,384.64.
Schedule and Shift Details
- 3x12 night shifts, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Every third holiday required
Unit Overview
The PCU is a 35-bed stepdown unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring conditions. You will manage patient ratios of 1:4–5 and may be required to float to medical floors, ICU, or rehabilitation units as needed.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
- Provide direct patient care and monitoring in a fast-paced environment
- Chart using the Epic system
Required Credentials and Certifications
- Current RN license
- ACLS (AHA) certification
- BLS (AHA) certification
- NIHSS certification
- Valid driver's license for distance verification at submittal
Onboarding and Skills Assessment
You will complete first-week onboarding followed by 1–2 days of unit-specific orientation. You must pass an open-book skills exam on Friday during orientation with a minimum score of 90% to continue the assignment.
Employment Requirements and Restrictions
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Cannot be currently employed with CommonSpirit facilities
- Artificial nails are prohibited; refusal to remove them will result in contract termination
- RTO (Request Time Off) must be requested upfront with a limit of 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract period
