Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg unit at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. This is a 119-day travel assignment starting April 21, 2026, with 3x12 night shifts (6:45 AM to 7:15 PM) on an every-other-weekend rotating schedule with permanent staff.

Role Details:

• Patient ratios of 1:6 on day and night shifts
• Primary care nursing model with focus on patient satisfaction and quality outcomes
• Care for patients with diabetes, CHF, COPD, GI bleeds, renal failure, dialysis patients, post-surgical overflow, amputations, debridements, wound care, DVTs, ETOH, and psychiatric patients
• Administer medications including Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin
• Utilize CPAP and BiPAP equipment as needed
• Potential to float to other acute care units and cardiology
• Work alongside CNA support staff and LPNs

Requirements:

• 2 years of RN experience in specialty
• Experience at larger organizations with high acuity, high turnover, and fast pace
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
• Must comply with 75-mile radius from facility

Facility Standards:

• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Dress code: Caribbean blue scrubs or white scrubs with Caribbean blue bottoms
• Only polished nails permitted—no artificial or shellac nails
• No bags at nurses station; lockers with personal locks available
• Strict attendance policy enforced

Compensation:

Weekly pay: $2,102.40
