Pharmacist Outpatient Job in Reno, Nevada

Renown Regional Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacist for outpatient clinical pharmacy services in Reno, Nevada. This is a 91-day travel position starting November 16, 2026, offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a hospital setting.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) on a 7 days on/7 days off rotation, Thursday through Wednesday
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekly pay: $2,966
• Some shifts will be worked as solo pharmacist
• May include weekends, holidays, and call shifts as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based pharmaceutical care services, including pharmacotherapy consults and disease management support
• Conduct thorough drug utilization review (DUR) for medication orders and clinical assessment
• Perform medication reconciliation and polypharmacy assessment
• Deliver face-to-face, telephonic, and virtual pharmaceutical care to patients
• Manage medication monitoring and collaborative drug therapy management with clinical teams
• Document all patient encounters in EPIC electronic medical record
• Assist patients and physicians with medication profiles and formulary coverage questions
• Analyze drug utilization data to identify trends and recommend optimization strategies
• Participate in interdisciplinary clinical rounds
• Compound, prepare, label, and dispense medications as assigned
• Develop patient-specific educational materials related to disease conditions
• Support formulary management and committee initiatives across the continuum of care

Requirements

• Allied Health Professional degree (Pharmacist credential)
• Active or Temporary Nevada Pharmacist license required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Two years of pharmacy practice experience preferred; retail pharmacy background accepted
• Medication therapy management program experience recommended
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• May be required to float to other areas based on competency and organizational needs
