Opportunity:

Echo Technologist - Echo Tech

Job Details:

• On-call schedule Monday through Sunday, 3 weeks
• 4 weekend shifts per contract
• See approximately 8 patients per day
• Must be willing to travel between cardiology clinic locations as needed for fetal imaging coverage
• Perform complex congenital heart echocardiograms and fetal echocardiograms independently
• Analyze imaging data and present findings to physicians
• Collaborate with cardiologists regarding fetal echocardiogram findings
• Assist with special and invasive cardiac procedures
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and findings
• Maintain echocardiography equipment and support quality improvement initiatives
• Work with patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred)
• 5 years of experience required; 7-10 years of cardiac clinical ultrasound experience preferred
• Experience performing pediatric/congenital echocardiograms independently required
• Minimum 2 years of fetal echocardiography experience preferred
• Associate Degree in Allied Health or related field, OR completion of a 2-4 year Diagnostic Ultrasound program, OR 7+ years of relevant experience required
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ARDMS
• RDCS or RCS credentialed or registry eligible through ARDMS or CCI required
• ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography (FE) credential preferred
• Required skills include: 2D/3D Echo, Color Doppler, Pulsed Wave Doppler, Continuous Wave Doppler, M-Mode, Fetal Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Pediatric Outpatient, Portable Studies, Scanning Complex Anomalies, Scanning Post-Surgical Repairs, and experience with complex congenital conditions including Tetralogy of Fallot, Hypoplastic Heart Syndrome, Transposition of the Great Vessels, and Ventricular Septal Defect among others
• Philips equipment experience preferred
• Updated resume, BLS certification, RDCS/RCS credential or proof of eligibility, skills checklist, and two recent references required upon submission
