Medical Assistant - Medical Assistant

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 8 hours per day
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
• Assist with screenings per physician orders and accurately enter all information at the time of service or results
• Perform clinical intake according to established policy and procedures
• Assist with minor procedures associated with specialty as needed
• May be required to travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs
• Maintain education requirements for position and demonstrate competency as required
• Responsible for maintaining OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance
• Follow safety processes and policies to ensure appropriate care is given
• Ensure patients receive whole care in all aspects of an office visit including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps
• Ensure efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for needed treatment
• Initiate testing and document results into the practice's designated system when appropriate
• Complete annual clinical competency requirements including written tests and policy updates
• Knowledge of healthcare field and medical terminology required
• Knowledge of chronic disease management required
• Ability to function in stressful, fast-paced environments and effectively apply stress management techniques
• Ability to resolve issues and work independently within the scope of certification
• Strong communication skills including reading, writing, typing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively
• Experience with computers required
