Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg unit at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. This is a 119-day travel assignment starting June 4, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,102.40.

Schedule and Expectations

• Work three 12-hour day shifts per week (Thursday through Sunday blocked schedule)
• Shifts begin at 6:45 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On-call availability during low census periods
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks

Clinical Responsibilities

• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Float assignments to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units
• Be flexible with changing assignments during your shift
• Monitor patients on telemetry across different units
• Operate BIPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and Draeger ventilators
• Use MEDITECH charting system

Requirements and Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel assignment
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Must maintain a strict 75-mile radius from the facility
