Operating Room RN Job in Charleston, SC

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call required 5-8 times per month, including weekends
• Holiday call may be required
• Must be able to scrub and circulate general OR cases
• Experience highly preferred in circulating and scrubbing general OR cases including plastics, colorectal, robotics (5 robots available), urology, MIS, pancreatic/biliary, and surgical oncology
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Handle approximately 28 visits per day in 10 operating rooms
• Work with adult patient population
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), South Carolina or Multi-state RN license
• Radiation badge provided by agency
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Charting system: EPIC
• Skills include administration of blood products, cardiac monitoring, code response, conscious sedation monitoring, fire safety, infection control, latex allergy awareness, malignant hyperthermia protocols, starting peripheral IVs, and universal protocol procedures
• Must be aware that during hurricane season (June-November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Facility may call off traveler for 1 shift per 2-week pay period
• All labs must be completed within 72 hours of signing if within 90 days of start
