ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (overtime billed after 48 hours on 4x12), nights, weekdays, every other weekend
• 48 hour contract with overtime available after 48 hours
• Patient ratios 1:2-3
• Must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit and may also float to ED/MedSurg to care for ICU patients being held
• Holiday coverage required within contract
• Strong neuro experience required (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke)
• Skills required: Vents, IV drip titration, Telemetry monitoring, Conscious Sedation, Dysrhythmia and emergency management
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS
• Virginia or Compact License required in hand at time of submittal
• Must be EPIC proficient
• 3 years critical care experience preferred (will consider strong candidates with less)
• Travel experience preferred
• EKG testing required with 80% passing score, one attempt only
• 3 hours of pre-start modules required
• Patient populations include neurosurgical and post-stroke, respiratory failure, renal failure, post-surgical, trauma, sepsis and MODS, heart failure and post-cardiac cath
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• No license or background hits accepted
• Must pass fit testing (no PAPR accommodation available)
