Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Adult

Job Details:

• Serve as Charge Nurse, coordinating and evaluating the delivery of safe and effective patient care across departments and disciplines
• Conduct daily rounding in departments including Acute Care, Birthing Center, Cancer, Wound and Infusion, Emergency Department, and Surgery
• Oversee patient flow and communication related to coordination of patient care across the facility
• Assess and communicate patient transfers between departments
• Lead and mentor staff to maintain a professional work environment and hold team members accountable for safe, competent practice
• Assist staff in providing direct patient care as needed and ensure staff availability to fill needs
• Assist with determining proper patient placement for patients being admitted to Acute Care
• Assist with after-hours pharmacy needs
• Activation and management of Incident Command in a Mass Casualty Incident
• Assist with coordinating staffing needs between departments
• Two-year degree in nursing required; BSN preferred
• Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license
• 3+ years of related work experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (required or obtained within 1 month), ACLS, PALS, NRP (required or obtained within 12 months of hire)
• TNCC certification encouraged
