Radiation Therapist Job in Santa Cruz, CA

You will perform routine and specialized radiation treatments at Sutter Health Radiation Oncology Services in Santa Cruz, delivering care according to physician-developed treatment plans. Working independently with sound clinical judgment, you'll execute safe and precise procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety.

Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver accurate radiation treatments in a timely manner
• Provide competent patient assessment and attentive monitoring
• Communicate effectively with patients and the care team
• Work with adult and geriatric patients in a daily census environment of 50
• Manage a patient ratio of 5:1 during day shifts
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and safety protocols

Position details:

• Schedule: 5x8 Days (shifts may start between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM; flexibility required)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: June 29, 2026
• Weekly pay: $3,214.08

Required qualifications:

• Valid California state license at time of submission
• ARRT T certification and BLS (AHA) certification
• Hands-on experience with Elekta, Mosaiq, and AlignRT systems
• Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience
• Demonstrated travel healthcare experience
• Ability to complete lab work within 3–5 days of signing
• 7-year work history verification
• Epic experience preferred

During your orientation, you will complete required modules (averaging 1–5 hours). You must be flexible with your scheduling, as shift start times vary within the 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM window.
