X-Ray Technician Job in Cedar Rapids, IA

UnityPoint - St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids is seeking an X-Ray Technician for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work on a 3x12 rotating night shift schedule with weekend rotation and on-call responsibilities. This role offers the opportunity to expand your clinical experience in a hospital radiology department.

Position Details

• Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
• Shift: 3x12 Rotating (nights)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start Date: July 13, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $2,306.88
• Billable overtime available between 36-40 hours per week

Requirements

• Allied Health Professional degree
• Minimum 24 months of X-Ray experience in a clinic or hospital setting
• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Active Iowa radiology license highly preferred; non-licensed candidates must apply for license upon acceptance
• Valid driver's license required

Preferred Experience and Equipment

• GE OEC c-arm equipment experience required
• Siemens Cysto equipment experience highly preferred
• Phillips Diagnostic equipment experience highly preferred
• Carestream portables equipment experience preferred
• Fluoroscopy experience preferred
• Current or recent Operating Room competency and experience preferred
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred

Schedule Considerations

• Weekend rotation with variable weekend schedule
• On-call responsibilities required
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
