Cath Lab Technologist Job in Rockville, MD

AHC Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist to join our cardiology and interventional radiology team. You will work 10-hour day shifts on a 4x10 schedule, handling 8–12 cases per day in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform elective diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, right heart catheterizations, and STEMI procedures
• Support IABP, pacemaker insertions, and temporary pacemaker procedures
• Assist with angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, and AICD insertion and programming
• Maintain sterile field during all scrub procedures
• Respond to STEMI call team activation within 30 minutes with 2-hour callback guaranteed
• Manage on-call responsibilities approximately 7–10 days per month, with 1 full weekend call required monthly

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience
• Demonstrated ability to work in interventional radiology (IR)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• ARRT with MD License or RCIS with IR experience
• Patient population: adults, geriatrics, and adolescents

Work Environment:

• Electronic health record systems: Cerner and McKesson
• Scrubs provided by facility
• May float within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospital as needed
• Non-billable orientation includes 4–6 hours of online modules via Relias/Net Learning portal
