Telemetry RN Job in Wichita, KS

Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work the night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, on a 3x12 schedule.

Role Overview

You'll join a 37-bed medical unit with a night team of 8 RNs and 3 Patient Care Techs. Your typical patient ratio is 1:6, or 1:4 when caring for Heart Cath patients. This role requires you to monitor patients via telemetry, manage cardiac protocols, and respond to clinical changes with strong critical thinking and independence.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry systems
• Care for patients recovering from heart catheterization procedures
• Manage central lines, medication drips, PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes
• Perform bubble studies and assist with ongoing cardiac monitoring
• Maintain clear communication with the night shift team
• Document patient care in the Meditech EMR system

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital telemetry RN experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• Experience with NIH systems preferred
