ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - SICU

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
• Float potential to other ICUs and step-down units (SDUs)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required in specialty; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications required)
• Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• Required clinical experience includes: Surgical ICU setting, cardiac monitoring, central venous pressure monitoring, post cardiac surgery, pre/post cardiac cath intervention, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), IV therapy including blood product administration, central line management and PICC line management, drip titration, and chest tube insertion and removal including care of ventilated patients
• Preferred experience includes: Liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant recovery, high acuity ICU, LVAD/RVAD, heart transplant recovery, and lung transplant recovery
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Unit cares for cardiac surgery patients, transplant patients, general surgery, medicine overflow, and cardiac overflow
