Respiratory Therapist Job in Morgantown, WV

WVU Medicine Golisano Children's Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join its respiratory care team. You will work 3x12 hour rotating shifts covering floors, the emergency department, and the blood gas lab. Weekend rotation is required with 6 shifts per 4-week schedule (weekends include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts). Holiday coverage is scheduled as needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver respiratory care for pediatric and neonatal patients in PICU and NICU settings
• Perform 20–25 treatments per day
• Execute all aspects of respiratory care including aerosol therapy, Volara, cough assist, IPV, and NAVA
• Operate Hamilton and Servo ventilators, manage airways, and coordinate intrahospital transport
• Assist with intubations (independent intubation not required)
• Use the EPIC charting system

Required qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working in PICU and/or level III or greater NICU
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP for NICU certifications
• RRT certification preferred; CRT acceptable

You will work with a variety of equipment including Respironics and Hamilton BiPAP devices and Fisher Paykel high-flow nasal cannula systems. Department-specific orientation will be provided based on your previous experience. Preference scheduling is permitted with weekend commitment. There are no floating requirements, and no call or standby responsibilities are expected.

Dress code requires stone or light gray scrubs. Weekly pay is $2,601.72. The assignment duration is 91 days, with a start date of June 2, 2026.
