CVICU RN Job in Arlington, VA

Virginia Hospital Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This is a 13-week travel contract beginning September 14, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment, working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. You have the flexibility to choose between 3x12 or 4x12 weekly schedules at the time of application. If you select 4x12s, overtime compensation applies after 48 hours per week. Every other weekend is required.

You must be able to float to the regular ICU, cardiovascular stepdown unit, and cardiac telemetry unit as needed.

Requirements

• Active Virginia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission—pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• EPIC charting system experience within the past 12 months

EPIC Training

Onboarding includes EPIC orientation tailored to your experience level. RNs with 6 or more months of EPIC experience in the past 12 months will complete an accelerated class of approximately 4 hours. RNs with less than 6 months of EPIC experience will attend a 2-day EPIC class.

Compensation and Duration

Weekly pay is $2,791. The assignment is 13 weeks (91 days).
