Med Surg RN Job in Penn Yan, NY

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the acute care medical/surgical setting at Finger Lakes Health Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. This is a part-time position working two 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide direct patient care and assess patient needs in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Develop individualized plans of care and evaluate patient progress throughout their hospital stay
• Administer medications and apply nursing interventions with skill and accuracy
• Develop specialized skills in cardiac care, including telemetry monitoring
• Conduct patient and family education to support self-care after hospitalization
• Document all education provided and patient/family response to teaching
• Maintain infection prevention strategies and required competencies for your assigned population
• Coordinate care delivery across the patient episode with other healthcare team members

Required qualifications:

• Current NYS RN Licensure
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• One year of experience working in a Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse
