Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

You'll provide direct patient care in the acute medical-surgical inpatient setting at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Your role centers on skilled nursing assessment, intervention, and patient education for adults recovering from medical conditions and surgical procedures.

Your responsibilities include:

• Delivering compassionate inpatient nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Using the MEDITECH charting system for accurate, timely documentation
• Monitoring vital signs, patient response to treatment, and complications
• Collaborating with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Educating patients and families about discharge planning and self-care
• Maintaining safe patient environments and infection control standards

Position details:

• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Assignment length: 119 days
• Start date: April 27, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,102.40

Required qualifications:

• Valid RN license (active in Georgia)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification
• BSN degree not required; RN degree sufficient

Cancellation policy: You are required to maintain a 12-hour cancellation window every 2 weeks.
