Radiation Therapist Job in Wilmington, NC

You will work as a Radiation Therapist at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center Radiation Oncology - 16th St NHMG in Wilmington, NC. This is a 13-week travel assignment.

Schedule & Compensation

• 5x8 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, occasionally 9:00 AM–6:00 PM)
• Alternative 4x10 shift available: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM or 8:00 AM–6:30 PM with 30-minute lunch
• Weekly pay: $2,407.68
• No call, weekend, or floating requirements outside the two assigned sites
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed; must work 2 of 3 major holidays

Clinical Details

• Float between two clinical sites in the Wilmington, NC coastal region (sister site is 30 minutes away)
• Adult outpatient population; approximately 110 patients per day
• Patient ratio: 1:5
• Always paired with at least one other therapist—never work alone
• MD and RN on-site throughout the day
• Primary site: 3 Varian linacs and one CT simulator
• Sister site: one Varian True Beam and one Siemens CT simulator
• Use ARIA charting system
• Will NOT cut blocks, perform CT sims alone, or perform dose calculations

Requirements & Start

• Allied Health Professional credential as Radiation Therapist
• Minimum 2 years experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ARRT T, BLS
• 8 hours orientation; start directly in clinic
• Scrubs required: Royal Blue (not provided by facility)
• Required to work Storm Team/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
