Physical Therapist Outpatient Job in Alpena, MI

You'll work as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting at MyMichigan Health - Alpena, supporting patients through skilled rehabilitation and therapeutic care.

Your responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status using formal and informal testing measures
• Develop goal-specific treatment regimens based on assessment data and patient tolerance
• Submit written treatment plans for inclusion in physician-authorized care plans
• Create frequency and duration-specific treatment schedules coordinated with clinical support staff
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding pathology, treatment alternatives, and prognosis
• Delegate responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides
• Work one Sunday per month

Schedule and duration:

You'll work 4x10 days (Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts). This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026. No on-call responsibilities.

Compensation:

Weekly pay is $2,818.08.

Requirements:

• Active Michigan PT license
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Skills checklist current within one year
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Physical therapy experience required
• Acute care experience highly preferred
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required if you are not comfortable working with pediatric patients

Residency requirement:

You must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
