Operating Room RN Job in San Angelo, TX

Shannon Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Operating Room. You'll work a Monday–Thursday schedule with four 10-hour night shifts per week, based in San Angelo, Texas. This 91-day travel assignment begins June 29, 2026.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced OR environment
• Support general, neuro, ortho, trauma, and robotic surgical procedures
• Administer blood products and assist with diverse surgical cases
• Operate specialized equipment including Da Vinci Xi and Mako robotic surgery systems
• Manage trauma cases at a Level II facility
• Document care in the Epic charting system
• Handle routine to complex surgical situations

Requirements

• Current Texas RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 5 years of operating room experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic system experience required
• Travel healthcare experience highly preferred
• Ability to complete required lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance

Assignment Details

You will receive one pre-approved time off day per contract. A local radius restriction of 110 miles applies. Weekly pay is $2,563.20. You must be available to begin on the start date and commit to the full 91-day duration.
