CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Operating Room. This is a 13-week travel assignment running Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts, with 40 guaranteed hours per week. You will earn $3,124 weekly.

Role Responsibilities:

• Circulate in all 21 operating rooms, assigned to 4–5 rooms per day covering cardiovascular, trauma, elective, and general surgeries
• Assist anesthesiologists with arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, and Swan Ganz catheters
• Support intubations, fiber optic scope procedures, and sterile techniques with central lines
• Perform IV starts, draw labs, and set up medication pumps
• Operate Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level I equipment

Requirements:

• 3+ years OR experience with anesthesia background required
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• Strong CVOR circulating experience and conscious sedation experience preferred
• AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certification
• Wisconsin RN license or compact license
• Associate degree or certificate in nursing
• Epic charting system experience required
• Cell Saver and Belmont equipment experience required
• Must live outside the 50-mile radius from facility
• Valid vehicle required (30-minute response time to OR)

Schedule Details:

• On-call: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month, 1 backup per week
• Work every 3rd–4th weekend and holiday rotation

You will receive a 2-week orientation with additional anesthesia skills training. Scrub colors are provided. During flu season, unvaccinated staff must wear masks at all times. Start date is June 15, 2026.
