<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg Tele</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work in medical surgical telemetry unit serving as overflow unit, post-surgical, and observation unit<br>• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 during days, nights, and weekends<br>• Unit is transitioning to team nursing model with LPN support<br>• On-call shifts available as needed<br>• Weekend coverage required as needed<br>• Float between like units and campuses within 20 miles as needed<br>• Care for adult and geriatric patients with medical oncology, GYN surgery, and general med-surg diagnoses<br>• 42-bed unit with daily census of 42 patients<br>• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS<br>• Essential skills include telemetry monitoring and IV starts<br>• 2+ years of recent medical surgical experience required<br>• One year of travel experience required<br>• Travel experience mandatory - first-time travelers not accepted<br>• Must live at least 100 miles from facility<br>• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions<br>• Cerner experience preferred<br>• Must be willing to work holidays during assignment<br>• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical surgical telemetry unit that provides care for post-surgical patients, overflow cases, and observation patients.
