PCU Registered Nurse Job in Anniston, AL

You'll join RMC Anniston as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit for an 8-week travel assignment. This role offers you the opportunity to work in a fast-paced progressive care environment while building your clinical expertise and travel nursing experience.

Assignment Details

• 3x12 hour day shifts
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days, nights, and weekends (up to 6 patients)
• Possible float to Medical-Surgical units as needed
• Non-billable orientation modules averaging 8 hours
• Start date: May 11, 2026

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care in a progressive care setting
• Perform cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Manage cardiac drips without titration
• Interpret telemetry and respond to emergency situations
• Initiate and maintain IV access; follow Heparin protocols
• Administer oxygen and manage non-invasive airway care
• Manage central and peripheral lines
• Administer blood products per protocols
• Apply isolation precautions and maintain patient safety standards

What You'll Need

• Active RN license in Alabama
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• Experience in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown units
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills
• Proficiency with electronic charting systems

Compensation

Weekly pay: $1,944

This assignment accepts first-time travelers. Requested time off must not exceed 7 days. You'll work in a progressive care setting where your telemetry interpretation skills and ability to manage cardiac patients are valued.
