Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks
• Minimum of 1 weekend per month required
• Holiday shifts worked into rotation based on unit coverage
• Work on Oncology Acute Tele unit (T6) with 32 beds
• Maintain 1:4 patient ratio
• Care for 85% oncology patients and 15% telemetry med-surg patients including surgical, medical, and oncology cases
• Float to other Med-Surg/Tele units as needed
• Use Cerner EMR system for charting
• Monitor Phillips telemetry equipment and interpret EKGs
• Work with ventilators including BiPAP and CPAP
• May serve as charge nurse with light patient assignment as oncology resource RN
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (pass/fail requirement)
• Must pass Day 1 exam prior to starting assignment
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (chemo certification preferred)
• Must have natural hair color with no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit testing
• Wear navy scrubs
• Must have own vehicle for transportation
• 2-day floor-specific orientation provided
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
