ICU RN Job in Omaha, NE

You will work as a Registered Nurse in a 16-bed Intensive Care Unit at CHI Health Lakeside in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of July 6, 2026, offering $2,384.64 weekly pay.

Shift and Schedule:

• 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Every 3rd weekend required, with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period
• Night weekends are Fridays and Saturdays
• Holidays rotate with permanent staff
• 6-week scheduling managed by facility scheduler

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to ICU patients with varying acuity levels
• Manage vented patients, BIS scoring, TTM (targeted temperature management), and IABP cases
• Titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, heparin, octreotide, and insulin
• Patient ratios of 1:2, occasionally 1:3
• Work with eICU support available in 14 rooms
• Charge nurse present on each shift
• May float to PCU or Med-Surg as needed

Orientation and Training:

• Classroom training followed by 2 twelve-hour shifts on the unit
• Pass/fail open-book exam during orientation requiring a minimum score of 90%

Requirements and Standards:

• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Valid driver's license required at submittal
• BSN not required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Artificial nails prohibited in all patient care departments
