Med Surg RN Job in Janesville, WI

Join Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville, Wisconsin as a Medical-Surgical RN. This is a 12-week travel nursing assignment beginning June 25, 2026, working nights from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Position Overview

You will provide direct patient care on our Medical-Surgical unit, applying the nursing process to deliver safe, compassionate care. You'll collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized patient plans. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required, and you may be asked to float to other units as needed.

Your Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and Wisconsin state laws
• Document patient care in accordance with standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by the physician and hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
• Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately through the chain of command
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance initiatives
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patients' longitudinal plans of care across departments

Requirements

• Current Wisconsin nursing license
• NIHSS certification
• CPR/BLS certification
• Education verification required
• Travel RN experience preferred

Compensation

You will earn $2,365.20 per week. This assignment offers competitive pay and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic healthcare setting.
