Emergency Department RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

OU Health is seeking an experienced RN for their Emergency Department in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a full-time travel position running for 89 days, beginning November 2, 2026.

Position Overview

You will deliver nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute and complex health conditions. Your primary responsibility is to manage an assigned patient group, document clinical responses, monitor physician orders, and coordinate care from arrival through discharge.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with simple to complex health problems
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments
• Monitor and communicate changes in physician orders
• Assist physicians with patient examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments
• Obtain and monitor physiological data; intervene when clinically indicated
• Administer medications per protocol
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Educate patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures
• Make appropriate care referrals and coordinate with support staff
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Requirements

Emergency Department experience is required. Travel and trauma experience are preferred qualifications.

Shift & Compensation

12-hour shifts. Weekly pay: $2,450.88.
