Job Details:

• Day shift with hours that may vary between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
• Perform breast imaging procedures using x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment
• Apply mammography techniques and related procedures to demonstrate breast anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention
• Assist in maintaining medical records while respecting confidentiality and established policy
• Assume responsibility for assigned area and report equipment malfunctions
• Provide practical instruction for students and/or other healthcare professionals
• Participate in the department's quality assessment and improvement plan
• May be responsible for specific quality control duties and inventory management of mammography items such as compression devices
• Maintain knowledge of and observe Universal Precautions
• Exercise professional judgment and maintain demeanor complementary to medical ethics
• Must be a graduate of a CAHEA accredited radiography program or equivalent
• Must hold certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography and mammography
• Must possess a valid state license to practice Radiologic Technology
• Experienced mammography technologist with demonstrated knowledge base to successfully complete breast procedures required
