Medical Assistant Job in Dallas, TX

Children's Medical Center Dallas seeks a Medical Assistant for a 364-day travel position starting May 4, 2026. You will work 3x12 shifts during days, earning $1,620 weekly.

About the Role

You will provide medical care for critically ill pediatric patients with single and multi-organ illness. You will manage 4–6 patients during day shifts at the Dallas campus, with possible float to the Plano campus. Night call responsibilities include all assigned patients plus new admissions and are shared among team members who have completed orientation.

Schedule and Staffing

• Self-scheduling in 4-week blocks with a minimum of 6 shifts per block
• Variable shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends as part of 24/7/365 coverage
• Current shift options include 10-hour evenings (1:00 PM–11:00 PM) and 12-hour days/nights (7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• Weekend, night, and holiday work shared equally among all team members
• No orientation offered on last Mondays of the month

Required Qualifications

• TX NP License, CPNP-AC, BLS, PALS, NRP
• Master's degree
• Critical care experience required—willing to consider comparable skillsets with critical care background (CICU, CVICU, NICU, ER)
• Experience with arterial line placement, central venous line placement, chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, and PICC placement

This is a permanent placement position with immediate start date availability. You will be part of a team providing round-the-clock pediatric critical care.
