Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM<br>• Night shifts with every 3rd weekend requirement<br>• Float to Emergency Room as needed based on daily staffing<br>• Holiday rotation participation desired<br>• No on-call requirements<br>• 20-bed medical-surgical unit with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio<br>• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)<br>• Must be confident in assessments, infusion pumps, medication administration, and teamwork<br>• Required to titrate drips including insulin, heparin, and levophed<br>• Manage respiratory equipment including Hamilton C1 ventilator with CPAP and BiPAP<br>• Read and document telemetry strips each shift using Mindray monitors<br>• Care for patients with falls, CHF, bowel obstruction, A-fib, and swing bed patients<br>• Work with CNAs and PCTs who assist with vital signs and documentation<br>• Use MEDITECH charting system<br>• Emergency room experience preferred but first-time travelers welcome<br>• 3-6 shift orientation depending on staff availability<br>• Scrubs required with no specific color requirement<br>• BSN not required</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This Critical Access Hospital operates as a close-knit healthcare environment where staff members work collaboratively across multiple departments.
