Med Surg RN Job in Utica, NY

You will work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on a Med Surg Stroke Stepdown unit at MVHS Inc. in Utica, NY. This travel nursing assignment runs for 89 weeks, starting August 24, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,309.75.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg Stroke Stepdown unit
• Manage common diagnoses including stroke, altered mental status, renal conditions, dialysis patients, COPD, CHF, isolation precautions, and general medical patients
• Float to other units as required
• Wear Navy Blue scrubs

Requirements

• Active New York RN license with Nursys verification
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Med Surg with stroke stepdown experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience
• AHA BLS certification
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification—required for this unit and can be obtained prior to your start date
