Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Details:

• 4x10-hour day shifts per week
• Weekend availability required
• Holiday availability required
• On-call and callback required per unit needs
• On-call expected 1-2 times per week and 1-2 weekends of call per month
• Interventional radiology experience preferred
• Neurosurgery/neuroscience experience required
• Select exposure factors and positioning to consistently produce radiologic images of diagnostic quality
• Administer oral contrast as needed per exam
• Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations and assist Radiologist during procedures
• Demonstrate competence and proficiency in operation of all x-ray equipment, CR and DR systems
• Report equipment malfunctions to manager or lead
• Demonstrate competency in use of Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS
• Maintain medication security to authorized personnel only
• Provide health care services to patients of all age groups
• Two (2) years of experience required
• ARRT certification required
• VIR certification preferred
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required
• New York state technician license required
