CVOR Technologist Job in Margate, FL

You will work as a Certified Surgical Technologist in the CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) unit at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital in Margate, Florida. This is a 91-day travel assignment with day shift hours from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, working 5 days per week at $2,336 weekly.

Role Overview

The CVOR unit operates 2 operating rooms with a staffing model of 1 RN and 1 Tech per room, maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio. You will scrub and function across all surgical specialties, including joint replacement, ENT, orthopedic, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery. You will also support non-CVOR cases such as robotics, orthopedics, spine, and gynecology procedures.

Equipment & Systems

You will work with specialized cardiovascular equipment including Impella, ECMO, bypass pumps, laser systems for lead extraction, endoscopic vessel harvesting (EVH), and rapid transfusion devices. Documentation is performed using the Meditech system.

Requirements

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of acute OR experience
• Proficiency in scrubbing and all service lines
• Strong charting, multi-tasking, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent bedside manner and professional communication

Schedule & Benefits

Day shift assignment with rotating weekend possibilities. On-call responsibilities are split and dependent on current staffing levels. OR scrubs are provided by the unit.
