<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>OT - OT</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Execute specialized therapy plans designed by the OT, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to improve motor skills and coordination<br>• Teach patients how to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and eating, often using adaptive techniques<br>• Instruct patients and families on how to use special tools like reachers, mobility aids, or modified kitchen utensils<br>• Record detailed notes on patient progress, behavioral changes, and safety concerns<br>• Report findings to the supervising OT to adjust treatment plans as needed<br>• Provide emotional encouragement to patients and train caregivers on how to assist with home programs<br>• Prepare treatment areas and clean equipment<br>• Handle administrative duties like scheduling and billing<br>• 2 years OTA experience in LTC setting required<br>• Texas or compact license required<br>• DOR experience preferred<br>• No on-call requirements<br>• No weekend requirements</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare organization specializes in providing comprehensive occupational therapy services within a long-term care environment.
