Oncology RN Job in Dallas, TX

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a 91-day travel assignment at Medical City Dallas. You'll work nights (7 PM–7 AM) on a rotating schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week, earning $2,233.80 weekly.

Role Overview

You'll care for patients in a 40-bed bone marrow transplant unit (20 beds per floor) with a target patient ratio of 1:3, stretching to 1:4 depending on staffing needs. Your responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, monitoring patients on telemetry, titrating drips under supervision, and performing comprehensive bedside assessments. You'll conduct bedside shift reports and safety rounds, assist with infrequent bone marrow biopsies, and participate in team protocols including manage team up and no pass zone initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• ONS chemotherapy certification
• Oncology and PCU-level care experience
• Competency in chemotherapy administration
• Ability to read telemetry and manage simple drip titration
• Strong assessment and communication skills
• Weekend rotation availability

Preferred Qualifications

• Bone marrow transplant (BMT) experience

Unit Environment

The unit operates with housekeeping and unit coordinator support Monday–Friday, 7 AM–3 PM. You'll have two PCTs on the morning shift and one on your night shift (PM). The unit uses Meditech documentation, bedside monitors, bedside computers, and lift assist devices. Royal blue scrubs are required. Travelers float first according to the facility's floating policy.
