Job Details:

• Provide competent respiratory care through airway management, mechanical ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy
• Administer standard respiratory care including aerosol medication delivery, basic bedside pulmonary function testing, breathing exercises, and arterial punctures
• Manage all aspects of airway management including aspiration of established airways, tracheostomy care, tube changes, endotracheal intubations and extubations
• Perform pulmonary function testing as needed
• Set up and verify ventilator function using specialized ventilator modes and provide appropriate patient monitoring and weaning techniques
• May be required to be on-call days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist required
• Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
• Must have at least one of the following certifications: ACLS, NRP, PALS, CPFT, or Advanced practice certificate for moderate sedation
• SERVO U ventilator experience required
• NICU experience preferred
• EPIC experience preferred
• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program required
• Function independently with minimal supervision and serve as resource to other staff
• Carolina Air Care experience may include transport of pediatric and neonatal patients and advanced practice procedures
• ECMO experience may include managing extracorporeal circulation for cardiac and respiratory support
