Occupational Therapist Job in Lafayette, IN

IU Health Arnett Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist for acute care rehabilitation. You will work Monday through Friday plus one weekend day per month on a day shift schedule, with a patient load of approximately 7 patients daily.

In this role, you will:

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care that include ADL training, therapeutic exercises, and therapeutic activities to improve functional outcomes
• Assess discharge disposition recommendations on a daily basis and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
• Supervise and guide COTAs while managing daily caseload responsibilities
• Attend multidisciplinary rounds and participate in team-based care planning
• Complete daily documentation using the Cerner electronic health record system
• Work with patients across all acuity levels, from ICU and progressive care units through general acute care

You will treat adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including cardiac procedures (CABG), stroke, traumatic brain injury, joint replacements, fracture repairs, respiratory illnesses, dementia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and amputation. Experience managing high-acuity ICU and PCU patients is preferred.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience in an acute hospital setting
• Current BLS certification
• NBCOT certification
• Active Indiana state occupational therapy license
• Manual Therapy and Lymphedema certifications or licenses are preferred

You will maintain a productivity standard of 81% billable units. Dress code is royal blue scrubs with black shoes. This 91-day assignment begins November 17, 2026, and pays $2,377 per week.
