Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• 3x12 day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, weekdays
• Occasional weeknight on-call coverage from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend on-call only: one weekend per month (in a 5-week schedule may appear as 2 weekends); call only on Saturday and until 11:00 PM on Sunday
• Guaranteed hours: 32–40 hours per week
• No floating required
• 14 operating rooms with an average daily census of 25 cases
• Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience required; first-time travelers accepted with qualifying CVOR scrub experience
• CVOR experience required: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Carotid Endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Mitral Valve Replacement, Pericardial Window
• CVOR experience preferred: Atherectomy, Atrial Septal Defect Repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft, Robotic Assisted Cardiac Surgery, TAVR, VAD
• Surgery required: General, Endo/Laparoscopic, Thoracic
• Surgery preferred: Vascular, Urology, Ortho/Total Joints
• Must be able to scrub, circulate, and perform equipment documentation
• Special equipment used: OR tables, stirrups (yellow fin), battery operated equipment, positioning aids, endoscopes, laparoscopic equipment, and robotic modules (training provided on-site)
• Charting system: Cerner (experience preferred)
• Required certifications: NBSTSA, BLS (AHA)
• Active WV or Compact OR Tech license required prior to start; pending license accepted for submission
• Patients served: adults and geriatrics
