About this role
You will provide speech-language pathology services in a long-term care setting at Tide Health Group - Big Spring. This is a 91-day contract position with a Monday through Friday, 5x8 day schedule and no weekend or on-call responsibilities.
Your responsibilities include:
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
- Assess patient progress, adjust treatments accordingly, and evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
- Communicate with supervisors and health team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans
- Provide comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements
- Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system
- Accurately record treatment minutes for services provided per regulatory requirements
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
- Attend facility and company required trainings, in-services, and conferences
- Obtain necessary durable medical equipment or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements
- Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student speech-language pathologists
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related therapy field
- Missouri State License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Minimum 1 year of SLP experience (new graduates with Level II clinical experience acceptable)
- Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
- Must adhere to ASHA and State required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
Weekly pay is $2,534.40. Start date is May 18, 2026.
